Our mission is two-fold: to assist international communities with dental care and education, and to open the eyes of our youth to the spirit of service.
We want to inspire students and volunteers to help our international neighbors who are in need. We take pride in giving our volunteers this opportunity to be an integral part of our mission to transform communities. We also strive to change the mindset of these communities in how they look at dental hygiene and practice. Our goal is to create a long-lasting impact that can positively affect future generations in international communities around the world.

One World Brigades is a nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Julie Spaniel to deliver dental and medical services and education to international communities with limited or no access to healthcare while providing volunteer opportunities to college and high school students. Dr. Spaniel has been serving the people of Honduras and Ghana for more than 20 years, providing care to thousands of people. She has been bringing student groups to Honduras, Nicaragua, Ghana, and most recently, Uganda, since 2010.
